Lviv was a multicultural city under Polish rule for many centuries. It is also known as Lemberg in German, as the city was under Austrian rule from 1776 to 1918. It was again called Lwów under Polish rule from 1918 to World War II, when the city became part of Soviet Union. Since Ukraine’s independence in 1991, the city has been called Lviv (Львів).
Old, romantic and gorgeous…Like a small piece of Europe in Ukraine… Here you can feel unique cosy atmosphere, get acquainted with rich ukrainian traditions and find lots of interesting places for yourself. I always say that while traveling to Ukraine one should definitely come to Lviv. This city is really worth visiting. So welcome 😉
