The journey begins with a picturesque uphill drive from Coimbatore to Ooty, where you will spend your first day exploring the vibrant floral gardens and tranquil lakes of the town. On the second day, a short drive takes you to the neighboring hill station of Coonoor to wander through sprawling tea estates and take in breathtaking valley views from high-altitude vantage points. Concluding with a visit to misty pine forests and rolling downs, this itinerary provides a refreshing and seamless mountain retreat before returning to the plains.

Arrive at Coimbatore Airport or Railway Station, where our driver welcomes you. Embark on a picturesque uphill drive through the winding Nilgiri mountain roads with multiple hairpin bends. Upon reaching Ooty, check into your premium hotel. In the afternoon, explore the beautifully landscaped Government Botanical Garden, the vibrant Rose Garden, and enjoy a peaceful pedal boat ride on Ooty Lake.
Discover emerald tea estates and dramatic viewpoints
Nature Scenic
After breakfast, take a scenic drive to the charming town of Coonoor. Visit the beautifully terraced botanical garden at Sim's Park, and marvel at the breathtaking panoramic views of the Nilgiri hills and Catherine Falls from Dolphin's Nose and Lamb's Rock. Explore a local tea estate and factory to learn about the tea-making process before returning to Ooty for the evening.
Misty pine forests and homeward journey

Check out from your hotel after a hearty breakfast. Visit the highest vantage point in the Nilgiris at Doddabetta Peak for sweeping valley views. Proceed to the towering Pine Forest and the rolling grassy meadows of Wenlock Downs (Shooting Point). Later, begin your scenic downhill descent to Coimbatore, dropping you at the Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

  • Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train) tickets are subject to availability and must be booked well in advance via IRCTC; our package provides road transfers to Coonoor as a standard.
  • Traffic regulations in Ooty may restrict vehicle entry to certain crowded spots; short walks may be required to reach specific attractions.
  • An E-pass for Ooty and Kodaikanal may be mandated by the Tamil Nadu government during peak seasons; our team will assist with the necessary procedures if applicable.
  • Standard hotel check-in time is 12:00 noon and check-out time is strictly 11:00 AM.

Pack comfortably with layered clothing, including light sweaters for the day and heavy woolens or jackets for chilly evenings, as Ooty’s weather can drop significantly. Bring comfortable walking shoes for navigating the sprawling botanical gardens, steep viewpoints, and tea estates. Carry essential sun protection, sunglasses, an umbrella for sudden showers, and personal medications, particularly motion sickness tablets for the winding mountain roads. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); while digital payments are widely accepted, carrying some cash is useful for small local purchases. A moderate level of physical fitness is recommended.
