Essential trip
information!
Pack a mix of clothing for diverse climates: light, breathable cottons for the warm coastal weather in Cochin and Alleppey, and a light sweater or jacket for the cool, misty evenings in Munnar and Thekkady. Bring comfortable walking shoes for exploring national parks and spice gardens. Carry essential sun protection, sunglasses, insect repellent (especially for the backwaters), and personal medications, including motion sickness tablets for the winding roads to Munnar. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); digital payments are widely accepted, but keep cash handy for small vendors.
