Itinerary

ACTIVITY: Transfer + Sightseeing
Welcome to Guwahati! Upon arrival at the airport we shall be waiting for you to transfer you to Hotel. After check in and freshen up go for local sightseeing of Guwahati, the Capital city of Assam and Gateway of Northeast, it is the Central business region of Northeast. Among the city sightseeing Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), and Among the Temples are – Maa Kamakhya temple, Navagraha Temple, Bashistha Ashram. You can also visit Umananda Island (The smallest inhabited island of India) – There is a Shiva temple in the island and the only way to go there is ferry.(on own cost unless mentioned in the “Price Includes” part)
Optional: Sunset Brahmaputra River Cruise (ON DIRECT PAYMENT BASIS) Accommodation: Hotel in Guwahati.

ACTIVITY: Transfer + Sightseeing
After breakfast, transfer to Shillong - “SCOTLAND OF EAST”. The town lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. En-route visit Umium Lake / Barapani Park. This gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course, Elephant Falls; Shillong Peak.

TERRAIN: Plains -& Hills.
Umain Lake popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umiam Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats. This is a very popular place for picnic, fishing and watersports. M.T.D.C. had started operating water-sports in the area

ACTIVITY: Sightseeing + Transfer
After Breakfast, transfer to Cherrapunjee. Sightseeing includes: Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Waterfalls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave.
Accommodation: Hotel/Resort/Homestay in Cherrapunjee.
TERRAIN: Hills Laid out along razor-like ridges of a high mountain wall, Cherrapunjee (known locally as Sohra) sits at the edge of the Himalayas, overlooking the pancake-flat plains of Bangladesh. The village was once feted as the wettest place on earth because of its prodigious monsoon rainfall. The road from state capital Shillong passes through pretty scenery that becomes dramatic at the Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, where a photogenic V-shape valley cuts deeply into the plateau.
ACTIVITY: Transfer + Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong. At Riwai village visit Single root bridge and on the way to Mawlynnong village also visit the balancing rock. Then later to Dawki (Tamabil – Indo Bangladesh Border and Umngot River) and later drive to Shillong.

TERRAIN: Plains -> Hills
Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong, on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of the village.
ACTIVITY: Transfer
After Breakfast, check out from hotel. If sufficient time available you can visit the any remaining point and then drive to Guwahati airport / railway station for your departure. End of Services.
