Essential trip

information!

Pack a highly versatile wardrobe suitable for varying elevations: lightweight cotton clothing for daytime in Delhi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh, and warm sweaters, heavy jackets, and beanies for the hill stations (Nainital, Kausani, Mussoorie) and early morning open-air jungle safaris, especially from November to March. Sturdy, comfortable slip-on walking shoes are highly recommended, as footwear must be frequently removed at temples. Bring essential sun protection, binoculars for wildlife viewing, and personal medications (including motion sickness tablets for the winding mountain roads). The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); carrying cash is necessary for local markets, temple donations, and entry tickets.
