Essential trip
information!
Pack a highly versatile wardrobe suitable for varying elevations: lightweight cotton clothing for daytime in Delhi, and warm sweaters, thermal wear, or heavy jackets for the hill stations (Nainital, Kausani, Ranikhet), especially from November to March when temperatures can drop significantly. Sturdy, comfortable slip-on walking shoes are highly recommended for nature walks and temple visits. Bring essential sun protection, sunglasses, binoculars for birdwatching and mountain viewing, and personal medications (including motion sickness tablets for the winding mountain roads). The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); carrying cash is necessary for local markets and entry tickets.
