Essential trip
information!
Description:
Pack layered woolens, thermal innerwear, windproof jackets, gloves, and sturdy walking shoes, as temperatures drop significantly in Lachen, Lachung, Yumthang Valley, and especially at Gurudongmar Lake. Bring essential moisturizers, lip balm, sunscreen, and personal medications (including altitude sickness and motion sickness tablets). Carry sufficient cash, as network connectivity and digital payments can be highly erratic in North Sikkim and remote parts of Pelling. Stay hydrated throughout the journey to combat altitude sickness. A moderate to high level of physical fitness is required for high-altitude travel and long mountainous drives.
