Essential trip

information!

Pack a comfortable, tropical wardrobe suited for a hot and humid coastal climate. Bring lightweight, breathable cotton clothing, plenty of swimwear, beach cover-ups, and a quick-dry towel. Comfortable, easily removable slip-on shoes or flip-flops are highly recommended for the beaches and boat transfers, but bring comfortable walking shoes for the ruins at Ross Island and Cellular Jail. Essential sun protection is absolutely critical—pack high-SPF sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and polarized sunglasses. A dry bag (waterproof bag) is highly recommended to protect your phones, cameras, and cash during boat rides and water sports. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). While Port Blair has ATMs and digital payment options, carrying sufficient cash is crucial for Havelock and Neil Islands, as network issues frequently cause card machines and UPI to fail.
