Itinerary

The Golden Triangle with Amritsar tour starts with your arrival at the Delhi Airport. Meet the IHR representative who will escort you to the hotel. Check-in and relax. The day is at your leisure. Go sightseeing, shopping or have fun trying the nighttime activities. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Start the day with a sumptuous breakfast. Later, leave for a tour of the capital city Delhi. Stop for a visit to the impressive Laxmi Narayan Temple. Next, proceed to India Gate, the iconic cenotaph commemorating Indian martyrs. Explore Lutyen's Delhi making stop at the Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan. Take a quick insight of Old Delhi at the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. The other sights from history preserving the rich heritage of unique architecture is the towering Qutab Minar, historic Purana Quila, Humayun's Tomb and Jantar Mantar observatory. The day also includes a visit to the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi's memorial to pay homage to the Father of the Nation. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Early morning, leave for Agra by road (4 hours). Halt at Sikandara en route for a brief visit. Reach Agra and proceed to the hotel for overnight stay.
Leave for sightseeing tour through the beautiful Mughal city. Be amazed at the incredible beauty of Taj Mahal, a white mausoleum, one of the world's seven wonders. Built in pristine white marble by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in remembrance of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it is thronged by tourists from far and wide. Later, proceed to the imposing Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb whose design elephants even outshine the Taj! Shop around for exclusive specialties at the Local Bazaar and transfer to hotel for night stay.
Early morning breakfast and drive to Jaipur. On the way, halt at Fatehpur Sikri (5 hours) and tour the sandstone city of Emperor Akbar. Cover Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, world's largest gateway, the historical Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhavan and Panch Mahal. Proceed towards Jaipur. After arriving, check into a city hotel. Later, leave for sightseeing covering the City Palace flanked by courtyards, lush gardens and monuments, the unique Royal Jantar Mantar Observatory, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli and the Local Bazaar. Return to hotel for staying overnight.
Leave for a full day guided tour through Pink City after breakfast. Witness the striking beauty of Amber Fort while enjoying a joyride on elephant back. Be awed at the perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture in the palace fortress. Later, visit Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds, the stunning five-storied pyramid-shaped palace with numerous small windows and screens. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Delhi to board the train from Delhi for Amritsar.
On arrival in the 'City of the Golden Temple', check-in at the hotel and freshen up. After taking rest for some time, head out for Amritsar sightseeing tour. Today you will visit Tarn Taran and Goindwal. Both are enriched with architectural excellence and historical significance. Visit the Tarn Taran Sahib Gurdwara, an excellent piece of Mughal architecture. The Gurdwara also houses the largest lake of Punjab. It is believed that the water of this lake can cure skin disease. After enjoying the eternal beauty, return to your hotel with immense peace of mind.
Day 9 of the Golden Triangle with Golden Temple Tour will take you to the world of peace and spirituality. Start the day by visiting the Golden Temple. The serene ambiance of the holy shrine energizes and motivates people towards a positive approach. After exploring the biggest shrine of Sikhs, head to the Jallianwala Bagh, the historic site where British General Michael Dyer fired bullets on the peaceful gathering of unarmed people. Visit the memorial house built in honor of the massacre victims. You can still observe the bullet marks on the wall of the garden. In the evening, visit the Wagah Border to witness the blustering parade by the soldiers from both India and Pakistan. The parade lasts for 45 minutes and ends up with lowering the flags of both the countries which is termed as 'Flag Retreat'. After the day's excursion, return to your hotel for a night stay.
End your journey with delicious breakfast at Amritsar. After this, you will be transferred to the railway station to board the train to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be dropped to the Delhi airport to catch the flight to your final destination.
