  • A strict dress code applies when entering the Golden Temple in Amritsar: both men and women must cover their heads with a scarf or bandana, wear modest clothing covering shoulders and knees, and remove footwear before entering the complex.
  • The Wagah Border ceremony draws massive crowds; it is advisable to reach the border at least 1.5 to 2 hours before the ceremony starts to secure a good seat.
  • Vehicle air-conditioning will be switched off during the steep uphill and downhill mountain drives (especially around Naddi and Dalhousie) to ensure optimal engine performance and passenger safety.
  • Mountain weather is highly unpredictable; slight itinerary adjustments may be made on the ground by your driver to ensure safety during sudden rain or fog.
