  • A valid government photo ID (Voter ID or Passport) and 4 passport-size photographs are strictly required for Tsomgo Lake permits. Aadhaar cards are often restricted.
  • Nathula Pass is closed to tourists on Mondays and Tuesdays; visiting requires advance notice and supplemental costs.
  • The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park in Darjeeling are closed on Thursdays.
  • Tiger Hill sunrise visits are regulated by local traffic authorities and subject to weather conditions.
