    This epic 15-day overland journey captures the absolute essence of central and eastern India's indigenous cultures and natural beauty. Arriving in Raipur, you will travel south into Chhattisgarh to stay in the royal Kanker Palace before diving into the Bastar tribal heartland of Jagdalpur. Witness the "Niagara of India" and discover the ancient bell-metal crafts of Kondagaon. The route then crosses into the Eastern Ghats of Odisha, spending five days exploring the vibrant weekly tribal markets of Jeypore and Rayagada to meet the Bonda and Dongria Kondh tribes. Descend to the coast to experience the hot springs of Taptapani and the serene Chilika Lake in Gopalpur, before completing your grand expedition in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam with a final adventure to the Borra Caves.

Bring a warm sweater or light jacket, as the Eastern Ghats (Jeypore, Rayagada, Araku) can be chilly in the early mornings and evenings. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are essential for exploring caves, waterfalls, and rugged village terrain. Bring high-SPF sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, strong insect/mosquito repellent, and personal medications. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); carrying ample cash is absolutely critical for this trip, as ATMs and digital networks are virtually non-existent in tribal markets and remote villages.
