In our special interest Indian Tribal village Tour itinerary package here we try to explore the journey of authentic ethnic people, their age old tradition, way of animist worship, tribal costume, classic life style, song and musical instruments, their isolated villages, colorful weekly markets, tribal Fair & festival and major part is how they (tribal) maintain the ecologic balance and respect the nature.

Itinerary

This 8-day overland journey is carefully structured to trace the evolution of human settlement in Central India, from prehistoric cave dwellers to vibrant modern tribal communities. Starting with an overnight transit from Delhi, you arrive in Bhopal to set the cultural context. The route then climbs into the Satpura ranges, serving as your base for exploring Gond villages. You will then plunge into the deep, isolated Patalkot valley to meet the Bharia tribe. After days of rich cultural immersion, the itinerary transitions east to Kanha National Park to observe the Baiga tribe and track the Royal Bengal Tiger, before concluding your expedition in Jabalpur for your return to Delhi.

Arrive in Bhopal via your overnight train (or flight) from New Delhi, where your specialized Outlander guide and driver will welcome you. Check into your premium city hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (Museum of Mankind). This spectacular open-air anthropological museum spans 200 acres and features life-size, authentic recreations of tribal habitats from across India, built by the indigenous artisans themselves. It serves as the perfect foundation for understanding the Gond and Baiga architectures you will encounter later.

After a hearty breakfast, check out and drive south towards the Satpura ranges. En route, make a crucial stop at the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walk through ancient sandstone monoliths adorned with vibrant prehistoric paintings depicting hunting, dancing, and animal life—some dating back 30,000 years, establishing the ancient roots of indigenous art. Dedicate today to exploring one of the most isolated regions in Madhya Pradesh. Drive through winding, forested ghats to reach Tamia, and then proceed to the edge of the Patalkot Valley. This deep, horseshoe-shaped gorge is surrounded by massive granite walls and is home to the Bharia tribe, who lived completely isolated from the outside world for centuries. Descend partially into the valley (depending on trail conditions) to visit their remote hamlets, learn about their unparalleled knowledge of rare medicinal herbs, and observe their unique, self-sustaining lifestyle.

After breakfast, check out and embark on a long, highly scenic drive eastwards towards the dense Sal forests of the Mandla and Balaghat districts. This region is the traditional stronghold of the Baiga tribe, known as the "Medicine Men" of the forest. Arrive at Kanha National Park by late afternoon and check into your premium wildlife resort. Spend the evening relaxing by the bonfire, listening to the sounds of the jungle, and preparing for an immersive wildlife and cultural experience.

In the evening, visit Bhedaghat to witness the magnificent Marble Rocks towering over the Narmada River, taking a peaceful boat ride as the sun sets.

Depending on your train or flight schedule, you may visit the ancient, circular 10th-century Chausath Yogini Temple perched on a hilltop near Bhedaghat, or explore the local Jabalpur markets for last-minute souvenirs and brassware. Important Notes

In March there are Bhagoria Festival in Bhil / Bhilala tribe where the young couple choose their life partner to offering sweet betel leaf and gift , which is very colorful to see this festival in the region of Jhabua and Alirajpur area.

one can reverse the program from Jabalpur ( it has airport daily connecting flight with Delhi) and concludes at Indore than to Delhi for your onwards destination.

Pack a highly versatile and respectful wardrobe designed for cultural sensitivity and varied climates: modest, lightweight cotton clothing covering shoulders and knees is strictly recommended to show respect when visiting tribal villages. Bring a warm sweater, fleece, and a windproof jacket, as early morning open-jeep safaris in Kanha and Satpura can be freezing from November to February. Neutral, earth-toned clothing is mandatory for the wildlife safaris. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes with good grip are essential for navigating the uneven terrain of Bhimbetka, Patalkot, and rural villages. Bring essential sun protection, strong mosquito/insect repellent, a basic first-aid kit, and personal medications. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); carrying a significant amount of cash in small denominations is absolutely critical for buying authentic Gond art, local honey, or tipping, as digital payments are non-existent in the remote tribal belts.
