Essential trip
information!
Pack a versatile and glamorous wardrobe for this royal retreat: comfortable, breathable cottons for daytime sightseeing and shopping, and elegant evening wear (traditional sarees, lehengas, or cocktail dresses) for the High Tea and Gala Kitty Party. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are absolutely essential for navigating the steep steps and sprawling courtyards of the City Palace. Bring sunglasses, hats, and high-SPF sunscreen for the afternoon boat rides and garden walks. The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR); while upscale boutiques and restaurants accept digital payments and credit cards, carrying cash is highly recommended for bargaining in the local street markets like Hathi Pol.
